The song I’ve sent to one person when they threatened to was ‘You Say’ by Saving Jane.
I don’t really know why but it was sent to me when I tried and ever since I’ve associated it with living and hoping people decide to stay alive.
Major shout out to musings-of-a-stranger and laurakay9210 for submitting their selection for Phase 1 of Project Purple! Thank YOU!

We want thank all of those who have submitted songs to Project Purple! We’re so grateful to have your participation in getting this project up and running. However, we need more of you! We’d love to hear your voice, make your opinion known. Get those song submissions into us. An explanation along with why you chose the song isn’t even needed (though we always appreciate reading your thoughts :D ) Just the name and artist will do! If you’ve already submitted, pointing a friend in the direction of Project Purple or posting a link on your tumblr, facebook or twitter would help greatly.
Thank you for all that you do.
Did You know?
For American Indian and Alaska Natives there are 15 suicides per 100,000 people a year? This statistic was taken in 2007 and believed to be much higher now.
Its a song about how love and life is like a game. Its so sweet and hopeful, not to mention funny, that I listen to it whenever I’m feeling down. The chorus goes a little something like this;
“There’s so much to risk, there’s so much to lose. If you sank my Battleship, I’d still look for Clues. My Pursuits aren’t Trivial; you’ve got a Monopoly on my heart. You could Twister around or you could tear it apart, Maybe next time, Let’s play Life!”
The song is mostly all about how relationships may seem like a bunch of games, but there is always hope. Whether it is with the one person that seems right, or with the right person you haven’t met yet. There is no reason to let anything get you down. There will always be someone there to play “Life” with. Your parents, your boyfriend/girlfriend, your friends; Even your pets will be there with you while the dice are rolling and you move your game-piece through life. And when you feel like your little car might hit a brick wall, remember you ALWAYS have someone here for you. Hope and courage are two things we all have and one brings about the other. If you have courage then you have hope. *hugs* You have us on your side my friend. So “Lets Play Life”!
